Smiles are powerful!
Holiday Insights shares this about Smile Power Day
“…a smile makes the world a happy place. A smile is a powerful thing. Best of all, it’s contagious. However, we do note that in order to be effective, a smile must be sincere.
A smile is so powerful, that it can:
- Add years to your life
- Make you a happier person
- Make someone else a happier person
- It’s a mood change for the giver and the receiver
- Improves relationships
- In business, it sends a great customer service message”
In order to show the power of a smile. I have two stories to share.
Story of Smile 1
A story about the power of a smile helped me so many years ago. I was having a really hard day. My depression was at it’s highest it had ever been. I want to return a Redbox movie, and it was a busy in line. The lady in front of me needed something and I ended up smiling helping her. Then a lady behind me said you have the most wonderful smile. When I went back to my car, I cried because she saw me and because my smile which wasn’t appearing as often made someone else smile. My smile ended up helping me the most.
Story of a Smile 2
The second story I remembered was when my oldest was almost 3 years old,
“Mom, are you happy?”
“NO”
“I can make you smile.”
I turn to look at him and can’t help, but smile and stay smiling.
Consequently, even children know the power of a smile. Smile helps happiness. Happiness expresses gratitude and kindness and love. These traits help bring change to the world.
Smile!
As a result, we all need to smile more. People can even tell if you’re smiling behind your mask. You can see a real smile in someone’s eyes. Do you have a story about the power of a smile? We’d love to hear it and bring positivity to the world today.
